Psalms 56: 1-4 1 Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppressesseth me. 2 Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High. 3 What time I am agraid, I will trust in thee. 4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
When times are such that despair could overtake me, I can read the Lord's Words in the Book of Psalms. Oftentimes, we can be oblivious to the pain that we have because we will not pay attention and KNOW that God is in Charge. Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of our faith. We can realize that when we are most afraid, most vunerable, is the time that we need to trust in the Lord. We can trust that God won't let us falter if we look to the examples of Life that Jesus let us see to overcome all things.
